I got off to a good start the first 7 trades all successful.
But then I made a big mistake, I was trading in running, it was going well and I suppose I should have pulled out while I was ahead.
I had been trading the front runner, inside the final furlong the favourite took the lead and looks like winning.
I put a lay in on the horse that had been the front runner, expecting the price to go but it must have got a second wind because it came back to win.
I think there might be a lesson to be learned here, I have done over 3000 trades and I have lost count of the times I have seen this happen.
The best thing about it is I had no need to go in running I had already made a profit before the race started.
They say it’s not what happens but how you react to what happens, I was a bit disappointed, because it had wiped out all but 2 pence of the days successful trades.
It’s all part of the game, and I carried on trading for a total of 17 trades.
